Follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster and a gorgon. Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening titles with a laptop writing the script.

We’re starting a new DC Studios universe.*The action is decently choreographed and easy to follow.*The animation style is fresh and fits the story very well.Mixed: -Gun’s humor often feels forced, aside from dated references and offbeat dialogue . -Not my favorite needle drop, given his talent for finding the right feel. Last things: -I wasn’t expecting a new formula for the superhero genre, but I’ve seen this type of show many times before.
Overall: 6/10 (with possible upside or downside) Drinkable?
– In the age of Spider-Verse movies, Arcane, Blue-eyed Samurai, and X-Men 97′, I needed more emotional investment, and when Episode 2 ended, I didn’t care that the others weren’t available yet. Not yet. Looking for something else to add to your watch list?
